Data Science Consultant

As a Data Scientist Consultant at exposé, you will work with our team of experts to transform data into actionable insights that meet our clients’ needs. You will leverage your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to create scalable, efficient, and effective solutions, and you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality, and security of our client’s data.

Technical Requirements for the role:

– Strong experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.

– Proven experience as a Data Scientist or AI Technical Consultant, preferably in a client-facing role.

– Strong proficiency in programming languages.

– Extensive knowledge of machine learning techniques, algorithms, and libraries.

– Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model selection.

– Proficiency in working with big data technologies.

Conventional Business Intelligence – More than four years of experience In

– Data visualisation skills using tools like Tableau, Power BI etc

– Data storage in the appropriate structures (e.g. databases) as well as the applicable normalisation and data modelling.

– Business modelling (i.e. semantic models) of data and Reporting.

Modern data analytics – More than two years experience in more than one of the following.

– Applicable normalisation and data modelling across all modern structures.

– Business modelling of data.

– Interactive visualisations.

– Machine learning and advanced analytics.

– IOT.

– End-to-end flow of data through a modern data ecosystem from small and/or batch, through to big and/or real-time.

– An understanding of, and experience in data warehousing in the modern sense (including Lakehouse).

Other requirements:

–  A relevant tertiary qualification is highly advantageous

–  Microsoft/AWS certifications are highly advantageous

–  Ability to solve client business problems using Data Analytics and AI.

–  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must

–  Prior experience in client-facing roles, exceptional interpersonal & relationship building skills

– Current Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) clearance or higher is a must due to the nature of our clients
